How this archive works
This archive is a searchable summary of every Fox River Grove, Illinois Village Board meeting since January 2019: what was on the agenda, what the board decided and how members voted, and what residents said during public comment. It also tracks the long-running issues (like Block B downtown, the budget, and water and sewer rates) across meetings.
This is an independent, unofficial project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or maintained by the Village of Fox River Grove or its Board of Trustees. Nothing here is an official record.
Where the information comes from
Everything is drawn from the agendas, packets and approved minutes the Village publishes on its website: foxrivergrove.org: Village Board meetings. Each meeting in the record links to the original PDFs.
Check the original before quoting
The Village posts its minutes as scanned images, not searchable text. The summaries here are read from those scans and condensed, so names, numbers and wording can be off. Before you quote or rely on anything, open the original minutes PDF (the “Minutes” link on each meeting) and confirm it.
Vote and attendance counts on the “Votes & attendance” tab are worked out automatically from the summaries. Treat them as close, not exact.
How it's updated
New meetings are added to a tracking spreadsheet after agendas are posted (usually the Thursday before a meeting), and summaries are filled in once the minutes are approved and posted, typically two to five weeks later. A short script then exports the spreadsheet to this site. The footer on the main page shows when the data was last updated.
Privacy
Public comment summaries include speakers' names, since they are part of the public record, but street addresses are removed before publishing. This site uses no analytics, ads or tracking. Your theme choice is saved only in your own browser.
Corrections
If you spot a mistake, compare it with the original minutes and let the site's maintainer know. The official minutes always take precedence over anything here.
